Loctite LB 8104 (known as Loctite 8104, Food Grade Grease) is a silicone valve and packing grease, NSF registered to category H1 for use with incidental food contact in and around food-processing areas. It lubricates plastic and elastomeric components such as valves and joints in hot and cold water systems and assists fitting of O-rings. The silicone-oil base thickened with inorganic silica keeps it effective from -40 degC to +200 degC.

Technology oil and grease; chemical type silicone oil with inorganic (silica) thickener. Whitish, transparent; odourless. Application lubrication; not curing. Density ISO 12185 @ 25 degC 1.0 g/ml. Penetration ISO 2137 (unworked) 220 x 0.1 mm (NLGI class 2/3). Drop point ISO 2176 greater than 250 degC. Peak temperature 220 degC. Operating range -40 degC to +200 degC. NSF International registered to NSF category H1 (Reg. No. 122981) for use as a lubricant with incidental food contact. Apply to clean parts that need lubricating; avoid excessive lubrication.
