Loctite 561 PST is a one-component anaerobic thread sealant supplied as a wax-like semi-solid in a self-feeding applicator stick. It is designed for the locking and sealing of pre-torqued metal pipes and fittings where a conventional liquid or paste product would be difficult to use. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. It develops a controlled low strength to facilitate later disassembly, and fluoresces under UV light for coverage inspection.

Compatibility
Semi-solid PST stick -- no drip, suited to overhead/vertical pipe threads. Low strength for serviceable joints; for medium-strength fine fittings use 542, for high-temp stainless pipe use 567.
