Product Description
Loctite 262 is a one-component anaerobic threadlocker for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include the locking and sealing of large bolts and studs up to M25. The thixotropic nature of the product reduces migration of liquid after application.

- Technology acrylic; chemical type dimethacrylate ester; appearance red liquid; positive fluorescence under UV light; one component, requires no mixing; medium, thixotropic; cure anaerobic; secondary cure activator; application threadlocking; strength medium to high. Cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces; for locking and sealing large bolts and studs up to M25. Typical uncured properties
- specific gravity @ 25 degC 1.1; viscosity Brookfield RVT 25 degC spindle 3 / 20 rpm 1,200 to 1,400 mPa.s (cP); viscosity EN 12092 MV 25 degC after 180 s 400 mPa.s. Typical cured performance after 24 hours @ 22 degC: breakaway torque ISO 10964 on M10 steel nuts and bolts 22 N.m (190 lb.in); prevail torque ISO 10964 32 N.m (280 lb.in). Tested to the lot requirements of Military Specification Mil-S-46163A and to ASTM D5363. PDF file (TDS) attached. 50 ml bottle.
