Product Description
Loctite 460 is a low-viscosity, one-part cyanoacrylate instant adhesive with low odor and low blooming, suited to applications where vapor control is difficult. It bonds a wide range of materials including metals, plastics and elastomers, and is particularly suited to bonding porous or absorbent materials such as wood, paper, leather and fabric.
Technical Specifications
- Technology cyanoacrylate; chemical type alkoxyethyl cyanoacrylate; appearance transparent, colorless to straw-colored liquid; one part, requires no mixing; low viscosity; cure by humidity; application bonding; key substrates metals, plastics and elastomers. Low odor and low blooming for use where vapor control is difficult. Typical uncured properties
- specific gravity @ 25 degC 1.1; viscosity Brookfield LVF 25 degC spindle 1 / 30 rpm 30 to 50 mPa.s (cP). Typical cured performance, lap shear strength ISO 4587 after 72 hours @ 22 degC: steel (grit blasted) 21 N/mm2 (3,060 psi); aluminium (etched) 18 N/mm2 (2,650 psi); tensile strength ISO 6922 steel pin to steel pin after 24 hours 25 N/mm2. Fixture time of seconds depending on substrate; full strength typically 24 to 72 hours. PDF file (TDS) attached. 20 g bottle.
