Loctite EA 3450 Metal-Bonding Epoxy Twin Syringe 25ml

Loctite EA 3450 is a two-component, fast-curing epoxy adhesive for metal-to-metal bonding that develops high strength at room temperature after mixing. Its gap-filling properties suit rough and poorly fitting surfaces in metal, ceramic, rigid plastics or wood; typical uses include bonding aluminium window frames and GRP panels and levelling surface irregularities. Supplied in a 1:1 twin syringe for hand mixing -- a convenient critical spare for quick structural repairs.

1 mix ratio by volume and by weight, room-temperature cure after mixing. Resin black thixotropic paste (specific gravity 1.7 @ 25 degC, Casson viscosity 25 Pa.s); hardener white thick paste (specific gravity 1.8 @ 25 degC, Casson viscosity 40 Pa.s); mixed colour metallic grey. Pot life approximately 5 minutes (20 g mass, ISO 9514, 25 degC). Fixture time on grit-blasted steel approximately 15 minutes (ISO 4587, time to 0.1 N/mm2 shear). Rate of cure increases with temperature. Not for pure-oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidisers.
