Cylindrical roller bearings carry high radial loads at high speed. The design letters state which ring carries the flanges and therefore how much axial location the bearing gives: NU (two flanges on the outer ring, inner ring free — non-locating), N (flanges on the inner ring), NJ (one inner-ring flange — locates the shaft in one direction), NUP (NJ plus a loose flange ring — locates in both directions), NN and NNU double-row types for machine-tool spindles. Bore follows the usual code (NU 2205 = series 22, bore 25 mm; NU 1020 = series 10, bore 100 mm). EC designs (ECP, ECJ, ECM, ECML) have larger rollers and higher ratings than the earlier design of the same size. The finder lists the catalogue by bore with one column per design letter.
NU and N bearings must be paired with a locating bearing elsewhere on the shaft; NJ and NUP provide one- or two-sided location. Cage suffixes: P = glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide (limit 120 °C), J = pressed steel, M/ML = machined brass for high speed or vibration. C3 clearance is normal for electric motors with an interference fit on the shaft.
Coverage: 2,486 catalogue rows with a readable rating, of 2,492 in these categories. Each cell lists up to 8 part numbers per column; click a part number for the product page and a quotation.
Part numbers and designations are those of the original manufacturers and are given for identification. cBallast is an independent supplier; confirm ratings against the nameplate of the installed equipment before ordering. Table generated from the cBallast catalogue on 2026-09-29.
