Loctite 406 Surface Insensitive Instant Adhesive Clear 20G

Loctite 406 low-viscosity, surface-insensitive cyanoacrylate instant adhesive formulated for fast fixturing of plastics and elastomers (rubbers). Clear, colourless to straw liquid, 20 g bottle. Henkel IDH 135436 / order no. 40640.

Chemical type

ethyl cyanoacrylate, one-component instant adhesive. Appearance: transparent, colourless to straw-coloured liquid. Viscosity 12-22 mPa.s (cone and plate, 25 degC, 3000 s-1). Specific gravity 1.1. Surface-insensitive grade for fast cure on acidic surfaces. Fixture time on degreased steel 20-45 s; full cure 24 h. Lap shear (ISO 4587) on grit-blasted steel approx 15.5 N/mm2, zinc dichromate 12 N/mm2, PVC 14 N/mm2. Block shear (ISO 13445) on ABS approx 23.7 N/mm2 (substrate failure).
