Loctite 242 medium-strength removable blue threadlocker for fasteners requiring disassembly with hand tools; suitable for less active and plated substrates. Used by maintenance technicians and installation crews across industrial, marine and construction service.
Technical Specifications
- Acrylic dimethacrylate ester, blue liquid (fluoresces under UV); medium-strength removable threadlocker; one component, anaerobic cure (activator secondary), medium thixotropic viscosity. Locks and seals threaded fasteners and prevents loosening/leakage from shock and vibration while allowing disassembly with hand tools. Specific gravity 1.1; operating temperature -55 to +150 degC; tested per ISO 10964; tested to lot requirements of Mil-S-46163A and ASTM D5363. 50 ml bottle (item 24231, IDH 135355).
