Loctite 245 medium-strength, medium-viscosity blue threadlocker for large threaded fasteners up to M80; locks and seals, removable with standard hand tools. Used by maintenance technicians and installation crews across industrial, marine and construction service.
Technical Specifications
- Technology anaerobic; chemical type dimethacrylate ester; blue liquid (uncured). Medium strength, medium viscosity; one component, cures confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces; prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Specific gravity 1.1 @ 25 degC; viscosity (Brookfield RVT, 25 degC) spindle 5
- 17,500-52,500 mPa.s @ 2.5 rpm, 5,600-10,000 mPa.s @ 20 rpm. Breakaway torque on M10 black-oxide bolts/steel nuts tested per ISO 10964; cure speed vs bond gap tested per ISO 10123. Designed for large threads up to M80; normal disassembly with hand tools. Operating temperature -55 to +150 degC. 50 ml bottle.
