Loctite 380 Black Max toughened instant adhesive (cyanoacrylate), 1 oz (28 g) bottle, code 135423. Rubber-toughened black CA with improved peel and impact resistance vs standard CA. Fixture time 30-60 s on metal, longer on rubber and plastic. Applications: automotive electrical harness bonding, rubber gasket bonding, metal-to-rubber assembly. - Chemical type
- ethyl cyanoacrylate, rubber-toughened one-component instant adhesive. Appearance: black liquid. Viscosity: medium (Brookfield RVT, 25 degC). Specific gravity 1.1. Fixture time: aluminium 10-30 s, phenolic 20-60 s, steel (degreased) 60-120 s; full cure 24 h. Lap shear (ISO 4587) on grit-blasted steel approx 18.5 N/mm2 after 24 h; ABS >6 N/mm2, polycarbonate >4 N/mm2, neoprene >5 N/mm2. Tensile strength (ISO 6922) approx 26 N/mm2. Toughened formulation gives improved peel and impact strength versus standard cyanoacrylates. Operating temperature -40 to +120 degC. Henkel order no. 38050 / IDH 135423, 1 oz (28.3 g) bottle.
