Danfoss SVL 20 multifunction valve body for the SVL Flexline industrial-refrigeration range, code 148B5355. This is the bare valve housing (body only, without function module) in a low-temperature steel casting; it is welded permanently into the line and then converted to any SVL Flexline function — shut-off (SVA-S/SVA-L), regulating (REG-SA/REG-SB), check & stop (SCA-X) or check (CHV-X) — by fitting the corresponding function module (complete top part). Keeping a common body across functions lets a plant standardise on one welded housing and change the valve duty later without re-welding. This SKU is the straightway body with 20 mm (3/4 in) butt weld connections. Bi-flow body; maximum working pressure 52 bar (754 psig); media temperature range -60 to 150 C (-76 to 302 F). Steel construction suits HCFC, non-flammable HFC, R717 (ammonia) and R744 (CO2) systems. Straightway bodies place the inlet and outlet in line; butt weld ends are prepared for butt-welding to the mating pipe. Order the matching SVL function module separately for the required duty and nominal size.

The same welded body accepts any SVL Flexline function module of the matching size, so the valve duty (shut-off / regulating / check & stop / check) is set by the top part fitted, not by the body. Butt-weld and socket-weld housings are separate codes and are not interchangeable; EN (DIN) and ASME weld-end variants are also separate codes — confirm the mating pipe standard before ordering. Straightway and angleway bodies of the same size share the function-module range.
