Product Description
Danfoss SAVD (003H6701) — self-acting safety pressure reduction controller, PN 25, DN 25, for district heating and central heating systems. The SAVD is a safety pressure reduction controller that needs no external power or control signal; the setpoint is set on the actuator spring and the reduced/relieved pressure is sensed through an impulse line to the control diaphragm. It is normally open and closes progressively as the downstream (outlet) pressure rises, holding the reduced pressure at or below the setpoint to protect equipment against over-pressure. Pressure setting range 3 – 12 bar adjustable; Kvs 8 m³/h; maximum differential-pressure range 20 bar; media temperature 2–150 °C; cavitation factor z ≥ 0.6; seat leakage 0.02 % Kvs (IEC 60534). Valve body Red bronze CuSn5ZnPb (Rg5); valve cone dezincing-free brass CuZn36Pb2As; seat stainless steel 1.4571; control diaphragm EPDM. External-thread connection G 1 1/4 A (ISO 228/1) via tailpieces (tailpiece/union-nut set ordered separately). Media: district heating/cooling circulation water (glycolic water up to 30%), pH 7–10. Set the reduction setpoint within 3 – 12 bar; for a different band use the lower-range SAVD. Size the valve by the design flow against Kvs 8 m³/h. Confirm the connection (External thread G 1 1/4 A (ISO 228/1), via tailpieces) and pressure class (PN 25) match the pipework; order the matching tailpiece/union-nut set and impulse tube separately. Maximum differential-pressure range 20 bar, media temperature up to 150 °C. For pressure RELIEF use the SAVA; for combined differential-pressure and flow control use the AVPQ.
