Danfoss REG-SB 32 hand-operated regulating valve for the SVL Flexline industrial-refrigeration range, code 148B5517. The REG is a manually-operated regulating (throttling) valve used to set and balance flow in liquid, suction, hot-gas and oil lines, and can also serve as a hand-operated shut-off valve. The straightway body has npt (ansi/asme b1.20.1) connections in 32 mm (1 1/4 in). REG-SB uses the B-cone (coarse, higher-Kv regulating characteristic); flow coefficient Kv 20 m3/h (Cv 23.1 gal/min). Maximum working pressure 52 bar (754 psig); media temperature range -60 to 150 C (-76 to 302 F). Cold-resistant steel housing for HCFC, non-flammable HFC, R717 (ammonia) and R744 (CO2) systems. Built on the SVL Flexline modular platform with a back-seating spindle for repacking under pressure; the spindle is fitted with a regulating cone and a position indicator.

REG-SA and REG-SB share the body but differ in cone/Kv — REG-SA gives finer low-Kv regulation, REG-SB a coarser higher-Kv range. Shares the SVL Flexline platform with SVA-S/SVA-L stop valves and SCA-X/CHV-X check valves; spare parts are common to the platform.
