The RA 2980 is a gas-charged operator that modulates the radiator valve in proportion to room air temperature, holding a set room temperature without any external power or wiring; the gas charge gives a fast sensor response. The temperature-sensing element is built into the setpoint dial, sensing the air immediately around the valve. Setpoint range 5 °C - 26 °C, with a frost-protection setting and provision for maximum/minimum limiting and locking of the set-point. Mounts to the valve for Danfoss RA / RA-N bodies.
