Product Description
WAGO 289-178 is a Cat. 5 RJ-45 interface module for PCB terminal blocks, mounted in a carrier with power jumper contacts and a shield clamping saddle. It provides a field-side spring-clamp connection alongside a control-side RJ-45 socket, with 10 poles rated 2.1 A at ≤35 VAC / ≤50 VDC and 1 kV dielectric strength. The shield saddle accepts cables up to 8 mm diameter to maintain screen continuity on the DIN-35 rail. Typical application is transitioning Ethernet-based fieldbus signals into control cabinets in industrial automation.
