Trojan Temperature Switch — 10 m Lead

Temperature switch for Trojan UV systems, original part number 915159G, supplied with a 10 metre lead. It is a thermal protection device: it senses the temperature in the reactor or cabinet and signals the controller to shut the lamps down before an over-temperature condition can damage them. On a UV reactor this matters most at low or no flow. The lamps put a large amount of heat into a small water volume, and it is standing water — not running water — that overheats, so the switch is the interlock that protects the sleeve and lamp when flow stops with the system energised.
