Eaton xEffect FRCdM Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) — Type B+, 4-Pole, 63 A, 30 mA, Short-Time Delayed

The Eaton FRCDM-63/4/003-G/B+ is a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the Moeller series xEffect FRCdM range. It disconnects the circuit when the current flowing out does not match the current returning — the signature of a fault to earth, whether through failed insulation or through a person. It provides no overcurrent protection of its own and is installed together with the circuit's MCB or fuse. This device is 4-pole, rated 63 A, with a rated residual current of 30 mA. Type B+ responds to all forms of residual current and adds a tripping curve that holds the trip threshold to a maximum of 420 mA all the way up to 20 kHz. That ceiling is what makes it the fire-protection type: it limits the energy a high-frequency earth fault can put into an arc. Specify B+ where the concern is electrically ignited fire. It is the G (short-time delayed) version, which rides through the brief leakage surges that switching and cable capacitance produce at energisation instead of tripping on them. At 30 mA it is rated for protection of people against electric shock. Supplied by cBallast on quote-to-invoice terms; lead time and freight are quoted per RFQ against the destination Incoterm.
