Danfoss KVC 12 hot gas bypass regulator — 12 mm (1/2 in) flare, 0.2 – 6 bar, code 034L0141
Danfoss · HVAC & Refrigeration · Pressure Regulating Valves
Danfoss KVC 12 hot gas bypass regulator (code 034L0141) from the Danfoss KVC range of mechanical, self-acting pressure regulating valves for commercial and light-industrial refrigeration. The KVC is a hot-gas bypass (capacity) regulator installed between the discharge/hot-gas line and the evaporator inlet or suction line. It opens on falling evaporating pressure and injects hot gas to maintain a constant minimum evaporating pressure at low load, giving modulating capacity control and stable operation down to low load without the compressor short-cycling. This SKU has 12 mm (1/2 in) flare connections (inlet and outlet), a regulating range of 0.2 – 6 bar (3 – 87 psig) and a maximum working pressure of 28 bar (406 psig); media temperature range -45 to 105 C (-49 to 221 F). Compact angle-design valve with hermetic brazed construction and a stainless-steel bellows; the setpoint is adjustable on the top spindle under a sealing cap and a 1/4 in Schrader valve is provided for pressure testing. Suitable for HFC/HFO refrigerants. UL listed (C UL US), EAC and RoHS. Price on quote.

Compatibility
Select a KVC by body size (KVC 12 / 15 / 22), connection type (flare or ODF solder) and connection size. Flare and ODF-solder versions, and inch versus metric ODF stubs, are separate code numbers with separate EANs — confirm the connection before ordering. A liquid injection line (for example a thermostatic expansion valve) is normally required for de-superheating with hot-gas bypass. Setpoint is adjustable on the top spindle under the sealing cap.
