ABB DDA203 RCD Block — 3-Pole, Type A AP-R, 25 A, 30 mA, 230 V, for S200 MCB

The ABB 1653231 is a DDA203 residual current device (RCD) block from the DDA200 range. It assembles onto an ABB S200 series miniature circuit breaker and adds residual-current protection to that breaker's overcurrent protection, so earth-fault protection can be added to selected ways of a board without stocking a separate RCBO for every rating. It is 3-pole, rated 25 A at 230 V, with a rated residual current of 30 mA. Type A means it responds to sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents. At 30 mA it is rated for protection of people against electric shock, which is the sensitivity required for socket outlets and other circuits where direct contact is foreseeable. This is the AP-R high-immunity version, which trips with a short delay so that it rides through brief leakage surges from switching and from electronic equipment filters rather than nuisance-tripping on them.
