How Frascold's model letters (A, B, D, Q, S, V, Z, W) map to the spare parts families — valve plates, head and valve-plate gaskets, capacity-control solenoid heads, junction boxes, oil pumps, sight glasses and rubber mounts — using the T00S/T00SK kit numbers stocked in the catalogue.
Frascold's reciprocating semi-hermetics are organised in frame-size letters — small A/B frames through D and Q, the mid S frame, to the large V, Z and W machines (the catalogue also stocks complete W 50-187 Y … Z 40-126 Y compressors, 400 V PWS). Spares interchange within letter groups, which is exactly how the stocked kits are named: a valve plate "for V25-93 / W50-187" fits those two machines and nothing else. The frame letter plus the model figures from the data plate are therefore the whole ordering key.
The wear item of a reciprocating compressor. Stocked per model group across the range — examples: A0.5-4, B2-10, D2-11/D2-15, Q4-19/Q4-21, S5-33, V10-59/V15-59, V25-93/W50-187, V32-93/W60-187. Broken reeds announce themselves as low capacity with high suction and warm discharge on one bank; change plates in pairs of gaskets, torque heads in the star pattern, and find the cause (floodback, debris) before restart — the accumulator guide is usually the answer.
Head gaskets per frame: A–B, D–Q, V–Z–W, with the F/S from-10/1997 version (T00S3631032). Valve-side and suction gaskets by kit number (T00S4501055B, 10-packs like T00S3621055C), capacity-control valve gaskets (D–Q, S–V–Z–W) and complete gasket sets per model group. Copper sealing rings for the G 1/4" connections (19 × 13.5 × 1.5) and the sight-glass O-ring (T00S3131OR) finish the seal kit.
Cylinder-bank unloading comes as complete solenoid heads per frame: Q, 230 V, S, 230 V, and the RSH versions (for D, for S, for Q). A head swap converts a loaded bank to controlled and back — fit with the matching gasket from above and verify the solenoid voltage.
Order by data-plate model + the kit number; where a plate is illegible, the frame letter is readable from the casting and the kit listings name every model they fit. Keep a frame-matched seal kit on the shelf per installed machine class — the cost of the kit is noise against a night call-out with the wrong gasket.
