The Siemens 5SV33224 is a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the SENTRON 5SV3 range, in the SIGRES version. It is a Type B device: it responds to sinusoidal AC, pulsating DC and smooth DC residual currents, which is what circuits fed through frequency converters, EV chargers and photovoltaic inverters require — a Type A device can be blinded by the smooth DC component such loads produce. The breaker is 1+N pole, rated 25 A with a rated residual current of 30 mA, and is short-time delayed, so it rides through the brief leakage surges that switch-mode supplies and long cable runs cause at switch-on instead of nuisance-tripping. SIGRES is Siemens' corrosion-resistant construction for aggressive and humid atmospheres — sewage and water treatment plants, agriculture, swimming pools, coastal and chemical installations — where a standard device would degrade. Supplied by cBallast on quote-to-invoice terms; lead time and freight are quoted per RFQ against the destination Incoterm.
