Loctite 641 is a one-component anaerobic retaining compound for the bonding of cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where disassembly is required for later service operations. It develops a controlled medium strength so that parts can be separated with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. Typical applications include the retention of bearings onto shafts and into housings.
| Technology acrylic; chemical type methacrylate ester; appearance yellow liquid; negative fluorescence; one component, requires no mixing; medium viscosity; cure anaerobic; secondary cure activator; application retaining; strength medium (controlled).
