Loctite 3090 is a two-component, fast-curing, gap-filling instant adhesive that bonds a variety of substrates including plastics, rubbers and metals. It is designed for the assembly of parts with varying or undefined bond gaps up to 5 mm, or where complete cure of excess adhesive is required. The gel consistency prevents flow even on vertical surfaces, and it also bonds porous materials such as wood, paper, leather and fabric.
| Technology cyanoacrylate; two component, requires mixing; gel consistency; cure initiated on mixing Part A and Part B; application gap-filling bonding; substrates plastics, rubbers and metals. Fills varying or undefined bond gaps up to 5 mm (0.2 in); gel prevents flow on vertical surfaces. Mixed open time @ 25 degC 90 to 180 seconds. Glass transition temperature ISO 11359-2 116 degC. Typical cured performance, lap shear strength ISO 4587 after 24 hours @ 22 degC on grit-blasted steel 21 N/mm2 (3,045 psi). Dispensed directly from the dual cartridge through the supplied static mixer; discard the first 1 to 2 cm of bead. Full strength typically develops 24 hours after assembly.
