Modulates cooling-water flow to a water-cooled condenser to hold the condensing pressure constant, and shuts the water off when the plant stops. The valve is opened by the condensing (refrigerant) pressure acting on a bellows and is closed by an adjustable spring; the setting is read on a 1–5 scale. Commercial version, cast iron body, G (ISO 228-1) water connection. Water connection G 1 1/2 in (ISO 228-1); refrigerant sensing connection 1/4 in / 6 mm SAE flare.
