Abiko AKS 240/95 — aluminium-copper (AlCu) bimetallic through connector that makes an in-line joint between a 240 mm² aluminium conductor and a 95 mm² copper conductor. The aluminium and copper barrels are friction-welded from solid material, so the dissimilar conductors are joined directly without a separate bimetal transition. Each barrel is compression-crimped with its matching die; accepts solid (IEC 60228 Class 1) and stranded (Class 2) conductors.
