An interference suppressor module for Wedeco control electronics. Electronic ballasts switch at high frequency and generate conducted emissions; the suppressor is what keeps the installation within its electromagnetic compatibility limits. On an installation certified for EMC the suppressor is part of what is certified, so it is not an optional component even though the plant will run without it. Wedeco was founded in Herford, Germany in 1976 and is now a Xylem brand.
