| SKF LGET 2 extreme-temperature, extreme-condition bearing grease on a synthetic fluorinated (PFPE) base oil thickened with PTFE; white, NLGI consistency class 2, DIN 51825 code KFK2U-40. Suited to bearings at extremely high temperature from 200 up to 260 degC and to aggressive environments including high-purity gaseous oxygen, hexane, steam and water; typical applications include kiln-truck wheels, textile dryers, film-stretching tenters, electric motors at extreme temperature, emergency/hot fans and vacuum pumps. Operating temperature range -40 to +260 degC; dropping point >300 degC (DIN ISO 2176); base oil viscosity 400 mm2/s at 40 degC and 38 mm2/s at 100 degC; penetration 265-295 (DIN ISO 2137); EP 4-ball welding load 8000 N minimum (DIN 51350/4); density about 1.9 g/cm3 (about twice a typical bearing grease). LGET 2 is a fluorinated grease and is not compatible with other greases, oils or preservatives (except SKF LGED 2); thorough cleaning of bearings is required before changeover.
