| SKF LGED 2 food grade bearing grease for high-temperature and harsh-environment service, based on a synthetic fluorinated (PFPE) base oil thickened with PTFE; white, NLGI consistency class 2, DIN 51825 code KFK2U-30. NSF H1 registered (NSF Reg. No. 156010). Suited to bearings running at extremely high temperature from 180 up to 240 degC and to aggressive surroundings such as acids, alkalis, vacuum and oxygen; typical applications include bakery and brick-oven equipment, glass-industry and kiln-truck wheels, textile dryers, high-temperature fans and vacuum pumps. Operating temperature range -30 to +240 degC; dropping point >300 degC (DIN ISO 2176); base oil viscosity 460 mm2/s at 40 degC and 42 mm2/s at 100 degC; penetration 265-295 (DIN ISO 2137); EP 4-ball welding load 8000 N minimum (DIN 51350/4). LGED 2 is a fluorinated grease and is not compatible with other greases, oils or preservatives (except SKF LGET 2); thorough cleaning of bearings is required before changeover.
