Designed to seal shafts running in gritty, abrasive slurry conditions where a lip seal would be immediately destroyed. Standard on track-drive final-drives on tracked excavators, dozers and marine deck-machinery where dredge slurry, cement wash or seawater is present. Nominal shaft speed to 4 m/s.
