The Raychem RAYSTAT-M2-R (1244-016965) is a moisture sensor for gutter and downpipe frost-protection systems, rated IP68 with a measuring range of -50 to +70 °C. The sensor detects the presence of water in the gutter and signals the controller to energise the heating cable only when both temperature and moisture conditions require it. Typical application is energy-efficient control of self-regulating heating cables installed in roof gutters.
