The Melbye MPP-M-14SKRU is a 1 kV heat-shrink cable joint with pre-fitted shear-off screw connectors for splicing three-conductor paper-insulated cables to three- or four-conductor Al/Cu polymer-insulated cables in the 16-50 mm2 range. Halogen-free construction rated 0.6/1 kV. Typical use is in utility low-voltage distribution during network transitions between legacy paper cables and modern polymer cables.
