Loctite SF 770 (known as Loctite 770) is a primer that makes polyolefin and other low-energy surfaces suitable for bonding with Loctite cyanoacrylate instant adhesives. Recommended for difficult-to-bond substrates including polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE and thermoplastic rubber. Pairs with the catalogue's Loctite cyanoacrylates (401, 406, 415, 454, 480).
| Technology primer for cyanoacrylate; chemical type aliphatic amine; solvent isopropyl acetate. Transparent to slightly hazy liquid, positive fluorescence under UV light, very low viscosity (Cone & Plate 25 degC ~0.62 mPa.s). Specific gravity 0.87 @ 23 degC. Drying time approximately 9 seconds on steel/polypropylene, 8 seconds on polyethylene; on-part life approximately 8 hours. On treated polypropylene, block shear strength (ISO 13445) with Loctite 406 around 15 N/mm2 (2,200 psi). Not recommended where high peel strength is required.
