Recommended for passive or inert substrates, large bond gaps, and low prevailing temperatures (below 15 degC). Companion product to Loctite SF 7649; complements the catalogue's anaerobic Loctite range (243, 270, 271, 542, 569, 638, 648, etc.).
| Technology activator for Loctite anaerobic adhesives and sealants; chemical type amine and thiazole; solvent acetone and isopropanol. Transparent yellow to amber liquid, very low viscosity. Specific gravity 0.79 @ 25 degC. Drying time 30 to 70 seconds @ 20 degC. Spray or brush on both mating surfaces before applying the anaerobic adhesive; for small gaps one-surface treatment may be adequate. Under no circumstances mix activator and adhesive directly as liquids. Not for pure-oxygen or oxygen-rich systems or with sealants for chlorine / strong oxidisers.
