Loctite Frekote 770-NC (known as 770-NC) is a solvent-based polymer, semi-permanent mould release agent for composite and rubber moulding. It cures at room temperature to a clear, colourless film that gives multiple releases per application with no contaminating transfer to the moulded part, a high-gloss finish and high slip, and resists mould build-up. The cured film is thermally stable to 400 degC.
| Technology mould release; chemical type solvent-based polymer. Clear, colourless film; solvent odour. Cure at room temperature. Cured thermal stability 400 degC. Application temperature 15 to 60 degC. Specific gravity @ 25 degC 0.715 to 0.725. Apply to mould surfaces by spraying or wiping in a well-ventilated area; initially apply 2 to 3 base coats allowing 5 to 10 minutes between coats for solvent evaporation; allow the final coat to cure 5 to 10 minutes at 22 degC; if spraying, hold the nozzle 20 to 30 cm from the mould surface. Touch-up coats only where release performance has dropped. Release life is extended when applied over a cured Frekote mould sealer. Not for pure-oxygen or oxygen-rich systems.
