| Dimethacrylate ester, red thixotropic gel; single-component medium-strength anaerobic flange sealant that cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and resists low pressures immediately after assembly. Used as a form-in-place gasket between rigid metal faces (gearbox housings, engine casings, pump and gear covers). Cures on active metals (mild steel) and on passive substrates such as low-copper aluminium. Gap fill to 0.25 mm (0.01 in); thixotropic so application migration is reduced; tolerant of minor surface contamination from cutting, lubrication and anti-corrosion oils.
