A 457 mm carbide-tipped reciprocating saw blade with 1.5 teeth per inch, for cutting abrasive masonry and composite building materials: autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), lightweight expanded clay aggregate blocks (Leca), brick, and fibreglass. The very coarse 1.5 TPI pitch and the carbide tipping are what make that possible. A conventional toothed blade loses its edge almost immediately in these materials, because the cutting action is abrasion rather than shearing; carbide survives it, and the wide tooth spacing clears the large volume of dust the cut produces instead of packing solid and stalling. At 457 mm the blade will pass through a full block in a single stroke. Supplied singly. Supplied by cBallast on quote-to-invoice terms; lead time and freight are quoted per RFQ against the destination Incoterm.
