Manual wiper shaft for Hanovia medium-pressure ultraviolet disinfection systems, part 320510-1043-01. This is the driven shaft of a hand-operated wiper: the operator turns it from outside the chamber and the wiper ring travels the length of the quartz sleeve. The quartz sleeve is the only optical path between the lamp and the water, so any film of scale or iron on its outer surface cuts the delivered UV dose. The wiper sweeps the sleeve on a timed cycle to keep transmission at the design figure. Supplied as the shaft only — the wiper ring, seals and bearing components are ordered separately.
