The interchangeable element carries the thermostatic charge that senses evaporator-outlet superheat and drives the TE 55 / TQ 55 expansion valve; it mounts on the valve body (067G4001-4004) and pairs with a matched orifice assembly to complete the valve. This charge is selected for R22/R407C over an evaporating temperature range of -60 to -25 °C (-75 to -15 °F) with a maximum operating pressure limit (MOP 20 psig at -20 °C (-4 °F)).
