The interchangeable element carries the thermostatic charge that senses evaporator-outlet superheat and drives the TE 55 / TQ 55 expansion valve; it mounts on the valve body (067G4001-4004) and pairs with a matched orifice assembly to complete the valve. This charge is selected for R22/R407C over an evaporating temperature range of -40 to 10 °C (-40 to 50 °F) (no MOP limit). Externally equalized (1/4 in flare), adjustable superheat, 3 m capillary, 28 bar (400 psig) max working pressure, brass. Supplied with bulb strap, gasket, key and O-ring.
