Danfoss SAVD safety pressure reduction controller, PN 25, DN 40, Kvs 20 m³/h, 3 – 12 bar setting, flange (003H6709)

Danfoss SAVD (003H6709) — self-acting safety pressure reduction controller, PN 25, DN 40, for district heating and central heating systems. The SAVD is a safety pressure reduction controller that needs no external power or control signal; the setpoint is set on the actuator spring and the reduced/relieved pressure is sensed through an impulse line to the control diaphragm. It is normally open and closes progressively as the downstream (outlet) pressure rises, holding the reduced pressure at or below the setpoint to protect equipment against over-pressure. Pressure setting range 3 – 12 bar adjustable; Kvs 20 m³/h; maximum differential-pressure range 16 bar; media temperature 2–150 °C; cavitation factor z ≥ 0.6; seat leakage 0.05 % Kvs (IEC 60534). Valve body Ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT (GGG 40.3); valve cone dezincing-free brass CuZn36Pb2As; seat stainless steel 1.4571; control diaphragm EPDM. Flange connection, PN 25 (mating flanges, gaskets and bolts ordered separately). Media: district heating/cooling circulation water (glycolic water up to 30%), pH 7–10. Mounting version Free; stem position Normally open. OEM P/N 003H6709. EAN 5702421542309. Technical data quoted verbatim from store.danfoss.com (code 003H6709).

Compatibility

Danfoss SAVD for DN 40 district-heating/central-heating circuits at PN 25 where automatic over-pressure protection is required by limiting the reduced downstream pressure. Set the reduction setpoint within 3 – 12 bar; for a different band use the lower-range SAVD. Size the valve by the design flow against Kvs 20 m³/h. Confirm the connection (Flange, PN 25) and pressure class (PN 25) match the pipework; order the mating flanges/gaskets/bolts separately. Maximum differential-pressure range 16 bar, media temperature up to 150 °C. For pressure RELIEF use the SAVA; for combined differential-pressure and flow control use the AVPQ.
