Danfoss KVP 22 evaporator pressure controller (code 034L0025) from the Danfoss KVP range of mechanical, self-acting pressure regulating valves for commercial and light-industrial refrigeration. The KVP is installed in the suction line after the evaporator and maintains a constant, adjustable minimum evaporating pressure by modulating (throttling) the suction gas flow. It holds a constant evaporator surface temperature, protects against an evaporating pressure that falls too low (for example freeze protection on a water chiller), and lets several evaporators run at different evaporating pressures on one compressor.
