Danfoss HFI 050 high pressure float valve (liquid level regulating valve), 150 mm (6 in) butt weld inlet EN 10220, 50 mm (2 in) butt weld outlet, 50 mm nozzle, 800 kW R717 rated capacity, 25 bar MWP with two external connections for drainage and pressure equalization (code 148G3767)

Danfoss HFI 050 high pressure float valve, code 148G3767, a liquid level regulating (float expansion) valve for industrial refrigeration. HFI is a high-pressure float valve with an internal liquid measuring device; it is designed for direct flange mounting or welding onto plate-heat-exchanger type condensers, and can also be mounted directly on vessels. The valve is direct acting, so no differential pressure is required to activate it: the internal float senses the condensed liquid level and meters high-pressure liquid refrigerant on to the low-pressure side, maintaining the correct liquid level in the high-pressure receiver/condenser. It is equipped with a purge valve for venting non-condensable gases (e.g. air) from the top of the valve housing, which also assists servicing. Inlet connection 150 mm (6 in) butt weld inlet EN 10220; outlet 50 mm (2 in) butt weld; nozzle (orifice) 50 mm. Rated capacity 800 kW (227 TR) on R717 (ammonia) at Temp. -10 - 35 °C; valve constant 33.58. This version has two external connections on the housing for drainage and pressure equalization. Housing (shell and flange) is special steel approved for low-temperature application. Suitable for R717 (ammonia), HCFC and HFC refrigerants with a liquid density of 500-700 kg/m³. Maximum working pressure 25 bar (363 psig); media temperature range -50 °C to +80 °C (-58 °F to +176 °F). PED category III. CE marked; EAC (EAEU) certified.

Compatibility

Danfoss HFI 050 is selected by refrigeration capacity and condenser/receiver connection: match the nozzle (orifice) size (50 mm), inlet connection type and size (150 mm/6 in butt weld), and connection standard (EN 10220). Type suffix F = flange inlet; suffix FD / "two external connections" version adds housing connections for drainage and pressure equalization. Capacity 800 kW is rated on R717 (ammonia). Float valve inserts, purge valves and seal/gasket kits are available separately as HFI spare parts.
