The FIA is an in-line strainer that protects downstream valves, pumps and compressors from pipe scale and weld debris; this is the pressure-containing housing (with cover) that takes a replaceable FIA INS strainer insert — available 100, 150, 250 and 500 micron, plain (ordered separately). Stainless construction suits corrosive and hygienic duties on R717 (ammonia), R744 (CO2) and fluorinated refrigerants and their oils.
