Danfoss AVPQ 4 differential pressure & flow controller, PN 25, DN 40, kVS 20 m³/h, Δp 0.3 – 2.0 bar adjustable, flow 0.8 – 12 m³/h, flange, flow mounting (003H6573)

Danfoss AVPQ 4 (003H6573) — self-acting differential pressure and flow controller, PN 25, DN 40, for district heating and central heating systems. The AVPQ 4 combines a control valve with an adjustable flow restrictor and an actuator with two control diaphragms; it closes on rising differential pressure or when the set maximum flow is exceeded, holding both a stable differential pressure across the controlled circuit and a limited maximum flow so connected control valves keep their authority. This AVPQ-4 variant is mounted in the flow (supply) pipe. Differential-pressure setting 0.3 – 2.0 bar adjustable via handle; kVS 20 m³/h; flow rate 0.8 – 12 m³/h. Maximum differential-pressure range 16 bar, media temperature 2–150 °C, cavitation factor z ≥ 0.6, leakage 0.05 % kVs. Valve body ductile iron EN-GJS-400-18-LT (GGG 40.3), valve cone dezincing-free brass CuZn36Pb2As, seat stainless steel 1.4571, control diaphragms EPDM. Flange connection, PN 25 (mating flanges/bolts ordered separately). Supplied complete with compression fittings for Ø6 mm copper impulse tube. Media: district heating/cooling circulation water; glycolic water up to 30%. OEM P/N 003H6573. Technical data quoted verbatim from the Danfoss AVPQ/AVPQ-F data sheet and store.danfoss.com (code 003H6573). differential-pressure range 16 bar); Temperature range: 2 – 150 °C (heating/cooling water); glycolic water up to 30%; HS code: 8481.80. Used in commercial refrigeration, provision-room cooling and reefer plant rooms across HFC, HFO and CO2 (R744) refrigerants.

Compatibility

Danfoss AVPQ 4 for DN 40 district-heating or central-heating circuits where BOTH differential pressure and maximum flow must be held, installed in the flow pipe. Size by the branch design flow (0.8 – 12 m³/h here, kVS 20) and set the differential-pressure setpoint within 0.3 – 2.0 bar. Confirm the connection (Flange, PN 25) and pressure class (PN 25) match the pipework; order the mating flanges/bolts separately (impulse-tube compression fittings are included). For mounting in the opposite pipe use the return-mounted AVPQ; for differential-pressure control without flow limitation use the AVP; for flow limitation without integrated Δp handle use the AVPB. Maximum differential-pressure range 16 bar, media temperature 2–150 °C.
