Servo-assisted (pilot-operated) 2/2-way normally-closed solenoid valve. The Bürkert default for general fluid shut-off duty from DN 13 to DN 50; the workhorse on ballast water, sea water and process cooling lines. Diaphragm-style servo with a small direct-acting pilot, so it needs a minimum differential pressure to close (typically ≥ 0.5 bar).
