The 3M Scotchmark 1408 is an electronic ball marker used to locate buried power-utility assets. The marker is approximately 10.4 cm in diameter and can be dropped or placed into a trench, subsequently detected by a compatible above-ground locator without excavation. Typical applications include marking underground cable joints, splice locations and route deviations for electricity distribution networks.
