3M 1831748 is a Scotch 130C high-voltage self-fusing rubber splicing tape in black, 25 mm wide and 9 m long. The unvulcanised ethylene-propylene rubber fuses into a solid mass when wrapped under tension, forming a moisture-tight primary insulation on cable joints and terminations. Used on power cable splices, bus connections and irregular shapes up to the tape's rated voltage. Supplied in cartons of 24 rolls.
